Summary: If Kris ever thought of bonding, he thought of Katy. Not the American Idol, an aloof, self-proclaimed rock star in too much eyeliner and leather. He thought of marriage and love, not a last minute desperate attempt from a stranger to save his life.
Notes: This was recorded for kradambigbang. I knew when I signed up to be an artist for kradambigbang that I likely wouldn’t be able to podfic for it and then it turned out that the fic I got was almost 75K! o_O But lc2l was totally awesome when we talked about it and we decided to just record parts of the story. Because I’ve been crazy busy with ![[community profile]](http://s.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png){kind=small}
pod_together, multipodicity and leaving my job, “parts” turned out to be the the first few opening scenes. However I do plan to record more of this in the future and post it as an abridged story (for podfic_bingo).

Recorded for podfic_project‘s International Day of Femslash Kiss Fest.
This was recorded on a fun filled day when the 4 of us got together to fangirl over podfic. (So. Much. FUN!) I’ve done collaborations before but never one where we all sat in the same room and recorded together. It was kind of awesome. I’d actually like to post the unedited version some time because the energy and giggling we had going was awesome.
It’s kind of awesome having a beta as you go too; having 3 others correct you right away when you mispronounce a word, rather than doubting yourself, pausing, searching an online dictionary to find out how it’s really said and then getting back to recording (after having lost your rhythm). Or worse, only finding out after when you’re editing that you said it incorrectly. Although, reading in front of others also made me kind of nervous so when I did mess up, I sometimes got flustered and made more mistakes than normal. Still, totally awesome.

So I had a ton of fun reading the oldspice_kinkmeme and wanted to make some podfic out of it. Normally I don’t think anything of women reading men’s character’s but something about Old Spice made me want a man to read it, so I bribed my cousin stargate_sg1sg1 into reading most of this for me.
It’s kinda rough for a podfic from me, and at times you can almost hear me directing stargate_sg1sg1 in the background as he reads but it’s lots of fun too.
